Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (primarily DAY shift: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM); schedule includes every-other-weekend and minimum 2 holiday shifts during the 13-week contract; guaranteed 36 hours/week

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, managing complex diagnoses such as trauma, cardiac events, sepsis and respiratory failure
- Titrate and manage vasoactive drips, insulin, and sedation per unit protocols to stabilize patients
- Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry and monitor strips, documenting findings accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including RTs, physicians and PCU/MedSurg staff to coordinate patient care and safe discharges
- Troubleshoot ventilator/respiratory equipment at the bedside and escalate issues to respiratory therapy as needed
- Provide compassionate patient and family education during high-acuity situations
Qualifications
- Current RN license (appropriate state licensure) and eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS required
- Comfortable titrating drips and managing high-acuity adult patients (1:2-3 ratios typical)
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic charting systems
- Valid driver’s license required at time of submittal
- Willingness to comply with facility policies (e.g., no artificial nails) and orientation competency testing
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing and bedside assessment
- Titration of vasoactive, insulin and sedation drips
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation (GE monitors familiar)
- Basic ventilator / RT equipment troubleshooting (nasal cannula to ventilator support)
- Acute cardiac, stroke and post-procedure care (post-stent, pacemaker)
- Strong documentation skills in EPIC and effective interdisciplinary communication
