Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (8-hour day shifts; start times may vary between 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM / 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM depending on case schedule). Weeknight on-call coverage 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM and 24-hour weekend call (self-assigned, every other weekend). Day with night/weekend on-call (rotating).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in endoscopy procedures like ERCP, EGD and PEGs with confident, sterile technique
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for rapid turnover across three bays
• Provide high-quality patient monitoring and support during procedural sedation
• Collaborate with RN, RT and Pharmacy teams to ensure safe, efficient care
• Manage call responsibilities professionally during weeknights and 24-hour weekend coverage
• Ensure accurate charting in Cerner and maintain procedural documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant GI/endoscopy or procedural tech experience
• BLS required; ACLS required for RN applicants; procedural sedation competency required
• GI Tech certification preferred
• Comfortable with high-volume procedural days (15-30 procedures) and multi-bay turnover
• Ability to take self-assigned call and share weekend coverage fairly

Education

• BSN not required
• GI Tech certification preferred; relevant tech training or equivalent experience accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Cerner electronic medical record charting
• Knowledge of endoscopy equipment, scopes and instrument processing
• Familiarity with ERCP, EGD, PEG procedures and occasional bronchoscopy support
• Strong patient monitoring skills during sedation and ability to escalate concerns
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy acute care GI/Endoscopy lab
