Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and stabilize emergency patients quickly and compassionately
• Administer medications and mix IV/ emergency meds safely and accurately
• Perform airway management and assist with intubation and advanced respiratory support
• Interpret ECG strips and monitor cardiac rhythms to support timely interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers and RTs to coordinate critical care
• Manage trauma and complex presentations using critical thinking and teamwork
• Provide clear documentation in Meditech and communicate changes in patient status
• Support unit flow, float to needed areas, and assist with transfers to higher level care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to submit)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency/ED nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Required: TNCC (listed in job details) — bring proof with submission
• Preferred certifications: NRP and travel nursing experience are a plus
• Comfortable with triage, IV starts, medication mixing, airway management and reading ECG strips
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, float when needed, and meet weekend requirements

Education

• BSN not required; completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN/diploma acceptable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing fundamentals: triage, trauma care, rapid assessment
• Airway management and assistive respiratory skills including ventilators, BiPAP, and heated high flow
• IV therapy, medication mixing, and drip management (insulin, heparin, vasopressors, etc.)
• ECG/strip interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Meditech charting experience
• Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork and time-management skills
