Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, typical day shift 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM (day coverage shown); nights required as part of rotation, every other weekend and 2 out of every 3 holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately across adult and pediatric populations
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care from minor illness to critically ill patients
- Interpret EKGs and participate in STEMI and CVA response processes
- Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients per unit protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, midlevels, techs, and EMS to ensure safe handoffs
- Float to pediatric ER when needed and deliver family-centered pediatric care
- Document care in Cerner and complete required education with the ER educator
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible to work in CA required)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience (ED, ED ICU, or critical care strongly preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- PALS and NIHSS required; ENPC or CPEN preferred for pediatric-focused candidates
- Strong EKG interpretation skills and experience with STEMI/CVA response
- No first-time travelers; travel team pairs/duos not accepted
- Ability to float to pediatric ER and work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma accepted
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing fundamentals and triage
- Pediatric emergency nursing and pediatric assessment
- EKG interpretation and STEMI/CVA recognition
- Procedural sedation monitoring and critical care practices
- Cerner charting system experience
- Team-based communication with physicians, midlevels, techs, and EMS
