Shift Type: Primarily nights, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (coverage/float may include 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 12:30 PM - 1:00 AM); every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement; 36 hours/week guaranteed; Night shift

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse acute patient population
- Deliver trauma and critical care interventions in a busy 11-bed ED with 1 trauma bay
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC
- Collaborate with ED providers, RTs, phlebotomists, and other team members to coordinate timely care
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned and support unit flow and patient safety
- Float between facilities in Region II when needed, adapting quickly to different unit workflows
- Participate in orientation and competency activities to maintain unit standards
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure (facility will accept candidates and is willing to wait for license submission)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (ED or acute care experience preferred)
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS plus ENPC or PALS, and TNCC
- Experience with EPIC charting
- Comfort and experience working 12-hour shifts and working nights
- Ability and willingness to float between Region II facilities when requested
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven emergency nursing and trauma care skills
- Strong triage and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical record documentation
- Familiarity with ventilators such as PB980 and basic ED equipment
- Ability to work independently in a Critical Access Hospital environment
- Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams
