Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging for inpatient, outpatient and emergent/trauma patients using GE CT scanners
- Prioritize patient safety and radiation protection practices at all times
- Collaborate with radiologists, ED staff and the radiology team to ensure accurate, timely studies
- Document exams and clinical information clearly and promptly in Epic and McKesson/PACS
- Assist with CT-guided procedures and patient preparation as required
- Manage high-volume ED imaging efficiently while maintaining compassionate patient care
- Maintain equipment logs, follow infection control protocols and escalate technical issues
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certified — required
- ARRT-CT certification — preferred
- BLS certification — required
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience, with trauma/ED CT experience strongly preferred
- Radiation badge required (traveler/employer responsibility)
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (Saturday–Monday) and functioning independently after orientation
- Washington state licensure or ability to obtain state authorization
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree preferred)
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT-CT preferred
- BLS certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven expertise in CT imaging and trauma imaging workflows
- Experience with GE CT scanners and CT procedural techniques
- Familiarity with Epic EMR, McKesson and PACS systems
- Strong patient positioning and protocol selection skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety and dose optimization
- Ability to prioritize high-acuity ED cases and work calmly under pressure
- IV start skills preferred (not required) and good communication with multidisciplinary teams
