Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations (PAN, HEAD, ABD) using GE and Siemens scanners to aid accurate diagnoses
• Provide trauma imaging expertise under time-sensitive conditions and coordinate with the trauma team
• Start IVs when required, ensuring patient comfort and safety during contrast procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS and Epic/Synapse workflows to manage imaging and documentation
• Maintain patient safety, radiation protection, and infection control standards at all times
• Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary staff to deliver timely, patient-centered care
• Document procedures and chart in Epic accurately and promptly
• Support department operations including scanner prep, stocking, and participation in orientation

Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience with trauma imaging preferred
• Comfortable and competent with IV insertion and contrast administration
• Experience with Epic and Synapse or similar PACS/EMR systems
• Available for required in-state orientation week and virtual live orientation on 12/15
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet a 60-mile radius requirement for submission

Education

• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology or CT program (Associate degree or equivalent recommended)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT protocols and trauma imaging workflows
• Proficiency with GE and Siemens CT scanner technology
• Experience using PACS (Synapse) and Epic for image management and charting
• Skilled at IV insertion and contrast administration
• Ability to manage high-volume scanning days (~20 scans/day) while maintaining image quality
• Excellent patient communication, triage, and teamwork skills
