Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality computed tomography scans using GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice scanners to support accurate diagnoses
• Ensure patient safety and radiation protection practices, including proper use of radiation badges and adherence to fingernail policy
• Operate and document studies in EPIC and manage images in McKesson PACS
• Provide compassionate patient care: prepare patients, explain procedures, and monitor patient status throughout imaging
• Float to cover CT, X-ray, OR, Endo and ED as needed to maintain smooth department operations
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and the care team to optimize protocols and workflow
• Complete required charting, orientation shifts, and respond to on-call requests in a timely manner

Qualifications

• ARRT-CT (Certified CT Technologist) — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant CT/X-ray experience
• Demonstrated experience on GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice CT scanners — required
• Comfortable using EPIC and McKesson PACS
• Valid driver’s license required at submittal (used to confirm radius eligibility)
• Ability to pass facility policies (radiation badge use, fingernail policy) and work varied schedules including holidays and weekends

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT-CT certification required; additional modality certifications are a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, contrast administration and cross-sectional anatomy
• Radiation safety and dose optimization expertise
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and McKesson PACS image management
• Skilled patient positioning and IV/contrast preparation
• Adaptability to float to XR, OR, Endo and ED when needed
• Clear communication and teamwork under varied/urgent conditions
