Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT exams (with and without contrast) including head, spine, abdomen, pelvis, CTA PE, runoff and extremities
- Operate and troubleshoot Toshiba 64-slice CT and perform general radiography (portable and room-based) as needed
- Independently manage the department during graveyard hours, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow
- Start IVs when necessary and assist with procedures such as PICC line placement and tube positioning
- Document exams accurately in Epic and route images using McKesson PACS
- Communicate effectively with remote radiology services and on-site clinicians to support timely patient care
Qualifications
- Current Washington state radiologic technologist license (WA license required)
- ARRT certification in CT (Certified CT Technologist required)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum 2 years of radiology/CT experience
- Comfortable working independently overnight (ability to run CT/X-ray alone between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM)
- IV insertion skills and contrast/CTA experience; ability to assist with PICC line placement
Knowledge & Skills
- CT imaging protocols and contrast administration (CTA, PE, runoff studies)
- General radiography techniques including portable X-ray and trauma imaging
- Epic EMR charting and McKesson PACS workflow
- Familiarity with Toshiba 64-slice CT, Carestream X-ray room, and GE portable X-ray
- Strong patient communication, critical thinking, and independent decision-making overnight
- Radiation safety practices and badge monitoring
