Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams for outpatients, inpatients and emergency department patients, including stroke code studies
• Operate and troubleshoot Toshiba and GE CT scanners while following departmental protocols
• Start IVs when required and manage contrast administration safely and effectively
• Use Epic for charting and McKesson PACS for image workflow and archiving
• Prioritize patient safety and radiation protection; ensure radiation badge is worn and maintained
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and ED teams to deliver timely imaging for urgent cases
• Document exams thoroughly and contribute to quality improvement efforts in the CT department
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to patients and families

Qualifications

• ARRT(CT) certification required; ARRT(R) recognized
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred/required
• Comfortable starting IVs and managing contrast-enhanced studies
• Radiation badge required prior to starting the travel assignment
• Able to meet occasional on-call expectations and weekend-focused schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and stroke code CT workflows
• Proficient with PACS workflow (McKesson) and image management
• Comfortable using Epic for inpatient/outpatient documentation
• Familiarity with Toshiba and GE CT equipment and basic troubleshooting
• Excellent patient care, communication and emergency response skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy acute care setting
