Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging for trauma and acute care patients, including brain, chest, abdomen/pelvis, spine, and extremity studies
• Execute stroke protocol imaging and advanced vascular studies such as CTA/CT Pulmonary and CTA-Angio with speed and accuracy
• Operate and optimize GE LightSpeed 64 VCCT and GE Revolution CT scanners to produce diagnostic images
• Start IVs when required and manage patient care and monitoring during contrast studies
• Document imaging and patient interactions accurately in Cerner and manage images through PACS
• Follow radiation safety, infection control, and department protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with in-house radiologists and the trauma team for time-sensitive cases
• Support cross-coverage needs in Imaging/X-ray areas when required

Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) required
• Valid fluoroscopic operator credential or Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist License
• BLS certification required
• COVID vaccination required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience in an acute or trauma setting preferred
• Comfortable starting IVs and performing contrast-enhanced studies
• Experience with Cerner and PACS strongly preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and participate in call as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, trauma imaging, and stroke imaging workflows
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting and PACS image management
• Experience operating GE VCCT 64 LightSpeed and GE Revolution scanners
• Skilled in IV insertion and contrast administration procedures
• Excellent patient communication and triage skills in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with radiation safety, infection control, and emergency department procedures
