Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate GE CT scanners to perform high-quality diagnostic CT exams with accuracy and care
• Start IVs and administer contrast safely for CT studies while monitoring patients
• Perform general radiography, portable x-rays and OR imaging as needed across the department
• Float between CT and Radiology to support staffing needs and maintain patient flow
• Document studies promptly in PACS (McKesson) and chart in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, RPAs and lead techs to optimize imaging protocols
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and BLS protocols to protect patients and staff
• Deliver compassionate patient-centered care and clear communication during exams

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) (CT) certification required
• Oregon State License required at time of submittal
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (acute care or outpatient CT experience preferred)
• Proven IV insertion skills for contrast administration
• Comfortable floating between CT and general radiology (portable and OR imaging)
• Experience with PACS (McKesson) and EMR (Meditech) is highly desirable
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays when scheduled

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT registration required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with GE CT systems and CT imaging protocols
• Strong skills in patient positioning and radiation dose optimization
• Experience with general radiography, portable x-ray and OR imaging workflows
• Familiarity with PACS (McKesson) and Meditech charting systems
• Competence in IV starts and contrast administration for CT
• Excellent communication, teamwork and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize a busy workload (CT ~15-20/day; Rad ~20-30/day)
