Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging studies using GE CT scanners to aid rapid diagnosis
- Operate and troubleshoot CT scanner equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Ensure radiation safety by wearing and maintaining your radiation badge and following ALARA principles
- Deliver compassionate patient care and communicate clearly with patients and families
- Obtain IV access when needed (preferred) and assist with contrast administration per protocol
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and archive images in McKesson PACS
- Manage a high-volume workload (approximately 50–60 scans/day) while prioritizing patient safety
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the imaging team to support inpatient, ER, and outpatient needs
Qualifications
- ARRT certification in CT (Certified CT Technologist) required
- Current Washington state radiologic technologist license required at time of submittal
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience with demonstrated GE CT experience (required)
- Radiation badge provided by candidate at submission
- CT certification is preferred but not required
- IV insertion skills preferred
- Comfortable working night shifts and independently in a fast-paced acute care setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in CT imaging protocols and patient positioning
- Hands-on experience with GE CT scanners (required)
- Familiarity with EPIC for charting and McKesson PACS for image management
- Strong radiation safety and ALARA knowledge
- Ability to manage high-volume scanning while maintaining image quality
- Excellent patient communication and teamwork skills
- Basic emergency response skills and situational awareness in trauma/acute settings
