Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift — typical hours between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide professional, compassionate nursing care to outpatient hematology/oncology patients
- Perform patient assessments and monitor responses to treatment
- Administer medications and infusions safely, following established protocols
- Assist providers during exams and treatment procedures with clinical skill and calm
- Deliver patient and family education on diagnosis, medications, side effect management and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
- Follow safety precautions and infection control procedures to protect patients and staff
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations and escalate when needed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of 1 year oncology nursing experience
- ONS bio/chemo or fundamentals certification to administer chemotherapy — or ability to complete within 2 weeks of hire
- Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification, with renewal every two years
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow physician orders and clinic protocols
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical judgment in outpatient oncology
- Medication administration and infusion monitoring
- Chemotherapy safety and administration principles (ONS standards)
- Patient education and counseling techniques
- Office procedures, medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT basics
- Emergency response and calm decision-making under pressure
- Teamwork, professionalism, and clear communication with providers and staff
