Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs and observe for changes in condition, reporting concerns to the nurse in charge
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation to support safe, continuous care
• Support resident safety and comfort, including safe transfers and fall prevention
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and coworkers
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care and contribute to positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Appropriate state CNA credentials or eligibility to obtain required state certification
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred but new grads welcome
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
• Reliable vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Clear, professional communication and teamwork
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
