Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging studies on the unit using GE equipment to support accurate diagnoses
- Prepare and position patients safely and compassionately for CT procedures
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging technology, following established protocols
- Ensure images meet quality standards and communicate findings and concerns to the team
- Accurately document procedures, patient care and imaging results in Meditech
- Follow radiation safety practices and maintain patient and staff safety at all times
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and unit staff to deliver seamless patient care
- Adhere to unit guidelines and the required dress code (pewter grey uniform)
Qualifications
- CT skills required (explicit requirement)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (as indicated)
- Experience with GE imaging equipment (unit specifies GE)
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Comfort working long day shifts (start/end times provided in posting)
- Valid state licensure if applicable (check contract and state requirements)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven knowledge of CT imaging protocols and patient positioning
- Competence operating GE CT scanners and related imaging tools
- Solid documentation skills using Meditech
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Awareness of radiation safety and infection control practices
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
