Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform all CT and X-ray exams accurately and efficiently to support patient diagnosis and care
- Operate and maintain CT equipment (GE Tempo, GE Maxima CT, AMX) and ensure image quality
- Execute CT post-processing and advanced stroke protocols to expedite critical care
- Document exams in Meditech and GE Centricity PACS with clear, professional notes
- Provide compassionate, professional patient interactions that prioritize safety and comfort
- Collaborate with ED staff and unit team members to maintain smooth, timely patient flow
- Adhere to unit-specific policies and required uniform (black scrubs) while representing the department
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required (CT modality preferred)
- CPR certification required
- 2 years of relevant radiologic/CT experience preferred (hiring profile notes at least 1 year preferred)
- Advanced skills in CT for stroke patients (experience with stroke protocols and rapid imaging workflow)
- Comfortable using Meditech, GE Centricity PACS, and CT post-processing tools
- Ability to work independently as 1 tech per shift in a freestanding ED setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in CT imaging and radiography (X-Ray)
- CT post-processing expertise and experience with stroke imaging protocols
- Familiarity with Meditech and GE Centricity PACS documentation systems
- Hands-on experience with GE Tempo, GE Maxima CT, and AMX equipment
- Strong patient communication, positioning skills, and infection control practices
- Ability to multitask in a busy ED environment and prioritize time-sensitive studies
