Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a busy emergency setting
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients using best-practice emergency interventions
- Perform focused procedures such as splinting, EKGs and central line care with confidence
- Manage airway support and participate in resuscitation efforts when needed
- Operate and monitor equipment including Alaris pumps and rapid infusers
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and safe patient dispositions
- Use MEDITECH to document patient assessments, interventions and handoffs clearly
- Maintain situational awareness and apply behavioral health de-escalation techniques for patient and staff safety
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — emergency nursing focus
- ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC and NIHSS certifications (listed as must-haves)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (experience in Emergency Services preferred)
- Trauma experience and holding/inpatient experience preferred
- CPI and Meditech experience are nice-to-haves
- Comfort working rotating weekends and 12-hour evening/overnight shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing fundamentals and rapid patient assessment
- Splinting, EKG interpretation and central monitoring
- Central line care and trauma assist procedures
- Airway management and advanced resuscitation skills
- Familiarity with Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers
- Behavioral health de-escalation techniques and working with BH patients
- Comfortable documenting and navigating MEDITECH EMR
- Teamwork, multitasking and strong situational awareness in high-acuity settings
