Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor telemetry patients continuously, responding swiftly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care in the EMR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharges
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and confidence at home
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic charting and handoffs to ensure continuity
• Support unit workflow by assisting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (as listed in the job data)
• Proficiency with EMR systems
• ACLS preferred
• NIH stroke scale experience preferred
• Outgoing, team-oriented personality that fits the unit culture

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable using lifts, wheelchairs, gait belts and mobility aids
• Effective communication and teamwork in a busy acute care setting
• Familiarity with postoperative care for procedures like TURPs, gastric bypass, joint replacement and hysterectomy
