Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to residents, treating each person with dignity
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake and output, and other clinical observations
- Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team and document clearly
- Maintain a safe, clean and respectful environment for residents and families
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to implement individualized care plans
- Participate in training, mandatory education and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active CNA in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain state certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with resident care and lifting assistance
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Aide/CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living and personal care
- Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
- Ability to accurately take and document vital signs and observations
- Basic documentation skills and familiarity with electronic charting or paper records
- Strong interpersonal skills for compassionate resident and family interactions
- Time management and prioritization in a fast paced care setting
