Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM; schedule varies and may include weekends and on-call as needed (night-focused/rotating)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment
- Triage and assess patients quickly to prioritize care and improve outcomes
- Administer medications, treatments, and critical interventions following protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
- Maintain situational awareness in high-acuity moments and support team safety
- Adapt to changing census and acuity while preserving patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (California preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ER) nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI
- Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts and adapting to changing acuity
- Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to pass hospital onboarding, screening, and credentialing
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active RN license required (California)
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency Department nursing workflows and triage principles
- Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with MEDITECH a plus)
- Familiarity with trauma, acute care interventions, and rapid assessment
- Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
- Ability to manage multiple patients (typical ED ratios noted at ~4:1)
- Comfort with unit policies, infection control, and patient safety practices
