Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic sleep studies and comprehensive evaluations for patients with suspected sleep disorders
- Select, calibrate and operate sleep lab equipment and sensors to ensure accurate data collection
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to published standards and maintain high-quality signal acquisition
- Conduct routine PAP interface fittings and desensitization to optimize patient comfort and therapy adherence
- Review patient history, verify medical orders, and determine final testing parameters with the physician
- Analyze sleep study data, document findings, and integrate results to support clinical decision-making
- Provide age-appropriate patient education on sleep disorders, testing procedures and therapy plans
- Document care and test results in the MediTech EMR and communicate clearly with the care team
Qualifications
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RST or RPSGT) — required
- Active American Heart Association BLS — required
- 1+ years of polysomnographic technologist experience — required
- Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in Ohio — preferred
- Familiarity with MediTech EMR — preferred
- Strong attention to detail, patient-focused communication skills, and ability to follow clinical protocols
Knowledge & Skills
- Polysomnography and sleep disorder evaluation
- Electrode application and equipment calibration
- PAP interface fitting and desensitization techniques
- Data collection, scoring and analysis of sleep studies
- Patient education and age-appropriate communication
- Comfortable using MediTech EMR and documenting clinical encounters
- Ability to work independently overnight and collaborate with physicians and clinical teams
