Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (10-hour day shifts); occasional Saturdays 1-2 per month; day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality pre-op and PACU care for interventional radiology patients
- Recover patients after conscious sedation and general anesthesia with vigilant monitoring
- Collaborate with IR techs, CT, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound techs to coordinate efficient case flow
- Manage vascular access needs including PICC support and work with the VAT team for difficult starts
- Chart accurately and timely in Cerner to ensure clear communication across disciplines
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, guiding the team and ensuring patient safety
- Support complex body IR procedures such as chemoembolization, Y-90, ablations, biopsies, and angiograms
Qualifications
- Active RN license (able to submit)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Level I trauma experience required
- Experience in Interventional Radiology or ICU with IR experience
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
- Experience with pre-op/PACU and post-anesthesia recovery
- Comfortable with telemetry and ventilator management as needed
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar EMR
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of IR procedures and body interventional cases
- Skilled in pre-op assessment and PACU-style recovery
- Ability to recognize and intervene for sedation and anesthesia-related complications
- Proficient in vascular access techniques and post-procedure monitoring
- Solid telemetry and ventilator management skills
- Good clinical judgment in high-acuity, outpatient and inpatient mixes
- Team-player communication with physicians, techs, RT, and pharmacy
