Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient status accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing team with medication reminders, feeding, and basic treatments as instructed
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk of injury
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain a clean, safe care environment and follow infection control protocols
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff and escalate concerns when needed

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Minimum experience: facility-based patient care experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care practices and activities of daily living
• Familiarity with infection prevention, safe patient handling, and documentation
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and bedside documentation
• Excellent observational skills and the ability to follow care plans precisely
• Good time management, prioritization, and the ability to work on a busy unit
