Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour nights). Includes weekend coverage — required 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Night shift / rotating schedule (13-week travel assignment).
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care on a Surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a telemetry population
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Perform post-surgical assessments, ambulation support and ongoing care for surgical patients
- Administer medications and manage non-titratable drips safely and accurately
- Perform procedures such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, NGT and tracheostomy care with competency
- Conduct NIH stroke assessments and participate in stroke-related care protocols
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic (EMR) to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (current, in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years recent RN experience (PCU/Telemetry, progressive care, or similar acute care experience preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Demonstrated skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, NGT and tracheostomy care
- Experience with Epic (EMR) preferred
- Familiarity with NIH/stroke care, cardiac monitoring and post-surgical patient management
- Adaptable team player who can work nights and meet weekend coverage requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Epic electronic medical record documentation
- ACLS/BLS emergency response and basic life support skills
- IV therapy, phlebotomy and non-titratable drip management
- Post-surgical nursing care and ambulation protocols
- NIH stroke assessments and neuro care fundamentals
- CIWA protocols and management of withdrawal patients
- Labs, electrolyte replacement and cardiac monitoring practices
- Strong teamwork, adaptability and efficient clinical judgment
