Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, days (exact weekly schedule to be confirmed); no regular night shift - nights are call only
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during complex cardiac cases including CABG, AVR, MVR and TAVR
- Prepare, calibrate and maintain surgical instruments and implants specific to CVOR procedures
- Establish and maintain a sterile field and ensure strict adherence to infection control standards
- Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently to support smooth procedures
- Document intraoperative details and patient information accurately in the EMR (Meditech)
- Collaborate closely with RNs, perfusionists and other OR staff to deliver safe, coordinated care
- Support the unit as the ECMO program restarts, participating in related activities as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - required
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience - candidates without CVOR experience will not be considered
- Proven experience with cardiac procedures such as CABG, AVR, MVR and TAVR
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Confident, team-oriented demeanor and ability to perform in a high-acuity CVOR environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong sterile technique and CVOR-specific instrument knowledge
- Familiarity with cardiac surgical workflows and procedure-specific setups
- Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and work efficiently under pressure
- Experience documenting procedures and communicating clearly in the OR
- Comfort working on a focused CVOR team and adapting to a restart of ECMO services
