Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM; schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week (three shifts/week) with weekend coverage (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule); night shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and titrate mechanical ventilators and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) to optimize patient respiratory status
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpret results to guide therapy
- Administer and monitor breathing treatments and aerosol therapies
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans
- Support neonatal care when needed, including attendance at deliveries and assistance with intubation when NICU-trained
- Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies and equipment for safe discharge and follow-up
Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required
- NRP and NICU experience preferred (helpful for deliveries, neonatal intubation and ventilator management)
- Comfortable using EPIC (EMR) and common ventilator platforms
- Team player who is teachable, adaptable and professionally communicative
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and troubleshooting
- Non-invasive ventilation: BiPAP and CPAP expertise
- Arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation
- Delivering effective breathing treatments and aerosol therapies
- Proficient charting in EPIC and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to work across ICU, PCU, ED and medical floors; NICU skills a plus
- Strong collaboration, communication and patient education skills
