Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams across all anatomy with accuracy and compassion
- Operate and maintain GE CT scanner and related imaging equipment safely
- Ensure high-quality imaging by selecting appropriate protocols and scanning parameters
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in Meditech and GE Centricity PACS
- Collaborate with ED and clinical staff to prioritize emergent imaging needs
- Practice radiation safety and infection control to protect patients and staff
- Respond to call requirements and provide dependable coverage for the unit
Qualifications
- ARRT Registry - CT (required)
- Florida State Radiologic Technologist License (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Previous travel experience preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (eg, Associate's degree) and ARRT credentialing
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with CT multimodality imaging and GE CT scanner operation
- Experience using GE Centricity PACS and Meditech documentation systems
- Strong patient care skills, including working with ED patients
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and imaging protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and escalate issues appropriately
- Clear communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
