Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document all care, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Support quality improvement initiatives and follow facility policies and protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact state eligibility (LPN candidates considered for LPN roles)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Prior acute care experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred where available
• LPN diploma/certificate for LPN-specific roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking to prioritize patient needs
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Wound care, dressing changes, and basic procedural skills
• Accurate charting and comfort using electronic health record systems
• Time management, organization, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Patient education and family-centered care practices
