Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, age-specific emergency nursing care using the nursing process
- Perform timely clinical assessments and prioritize triage for patients of all ages
- Administer medications safely using the seven rights and document accurately
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation efforts
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain complete and compliant documentation while protecting patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
- Adhere to Colorado Nurse Practice Act and facility policies, demonstrating professional standards
- Participate in quality improvement, committees, and community outreach as requested
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN license or valid multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, TNCC/ATCN, and ENPC (AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred)
- Recommended certifications: CEN and NIHSS are a plus
- Graduate of an accredited or state board approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Willingness to complete immunizations, QuantiFERON TB test, negative 10-panel drug screen, background checks, and CAPS check as required
- Ability to pass a fit test and required OSHA/regulatory training
Education
- Graduate of an accredited or state board approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficient in medication administration and emergency response protocols
- Triage experience and ability to prioritize under pressure
- Excellent documentation practices and attention to regulatory compliance
- Comfortable providing patient and family education with empathy
- Solid infection control practices and HIPAA compliance
- Professional communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining competency
