Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up radiographic and cine imaging equipment prior to angiographic and cath procedures to ensure smooth workflow
- Perform quality control checks on cine radiographic images and adjust techniques for optimal image quality
- Prepare patients for procedures, assist with sterile tray setup, and provide post-cath care to support safe outcomes
- Manipulate radiographic generators and imaging equipment to achieve diagnostic images during procedures
- Operate hemodynamic monitoring systems, cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment and pacemakers as needed
- Assist physicians and the interventional team to ensure timely and efficient use of the cardiac cath lab and special procedures rooms
- Maintain room cleanliness and assist with turnover to keep the lab ready for the next patient
Qualifications
- Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — REQUIRED
- Active American Heart Association BLS — REQUIRED
- Active American Heart Association ACLS — REQUIRED
- Cath Lab experience — REQUIRED (submission will require documentation)
- Experience with cine radiographic imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac output and oxygen saturation studies, and pacemaker operation
- Ability to provide required application materials: work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), and two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
- Candidates must provide permanent address (facility note: local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with radiographic equipment setup and sterile tray preparation
- Skilled in image quality control and technique selection on radiographic generators
- Experienced in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac output measurement, and oxygen saturation studies
- Comfortable operating pacemakers and cardiac output/monitoring electronics
- Familiarity with Epic EMR for documentation and charting
- Strong patient prep/post-procedure care and infection control practices
- Efficient room turnover and cleanup procedures
