Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (days vary based on unit needs) - night
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, direct patient care and support daily comfort needs
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs and changes in condition
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care
- Assist with procedures, admissions and discharges while maintaining dignity and respect
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic medical record and follow facility protocols
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Maryland required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Comfortable working in long-term care or acute care settings; prior clinical experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and meet immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
- Infection control procedures and safe patient handling techniques
- Electronic medical record documentation and care plan implementation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs with calm and clarity
- Teamwork, empathy and strong interpersonal skills
