Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate unit operations as the House Supervisor on shift to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to bedside nursing staff in an acute care setting
• Respond to escalations, triage complex situations, and facilitate rapid resource allocation
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation using EPIC to support continuity of care
• Ensure adherence to ACLS and BLS protocols and support code/rapid response events
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and discharge planning
• Support orientation and competency validation for new staff during the assignment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to submit required license)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (acute care experience preferred)
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• Comfort working 12-hour day shifts and supporting house supervisor responsibilities
• BSN not required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing diploma acceptable; BSN not required
• Active RN license in the state of Utah

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong acute care clinical assessment and decision-making
• Leadership and unit oversight skills relevant to a House Supervisor role
• Proficient EPIC documentation and electronic charting skills
• Ability to follow ACLS and BLS algorithms confidently
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and escalation skills
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced nursing environment
