Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide kind, hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to the clinical team to keep everyone safe
- Support mealtime and feeding assistance with patience and dignity
- Help create a warm, home-like environment by engaging residents in conversation and activities
- Accurately document care and chart observations to maintain clear communication across shifts
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) — you know the role and responsibilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Basic clinical observation and safe transfer techniques
- Good documentation and charting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and family communication
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety standards
