Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days determined by facility)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to elderly residents, supporting daily living activities with dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations accurately and promptly
- Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding and toileting while promoting independence
- Communicate clearly with the nursing team and families to ensure coordinated care
- Follow care plans and report changes in resident condition to licensed staff
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
- Support recreational and social activities to enhance resident quality of life
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Comfort working the night shift and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward older adults
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatrics is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Skill in resident transfers, mobility assistance and safe lifting techniques
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and basic clinical observations
- Understanding of infection control, medication assistance protocols and care planning
- Ability to build rapport with residents and provide person-centered care
- Time management and teamwork to support smooth shift handoffs
