Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule varies; includes approximately 4 weekend shifts per schedule (night shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across a broad acuity range
- Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize incoming patients to ensure timely treatment
- Administer and monitor treatments and procedures such as cardioversion, TNK administration, and moderate sedation support
- Collaborate closely with providers and the unit team to coordinate patient care and participate in Unit Based Council
- Use Meditech EMR to document care accurately and communicate clinical changes
- Maintain professionalism while supporting a positive, team-oriented environment
- Adhere to unit and hospital policies to promote patient safety and quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (TX license or applicable compact privileges preferred)
- Required certifications: ALS and BLS; TNCC and ENPC or PALS (ENPC preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and covering weekend requirements
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar electronic charting systems
- Strong team-player attitude, flexibility, and positive demeanor
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record workflow
- Solid emergency assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with ED procedures including cardioversion, TNK, and moderate sedation
- Ability to manage typical ED patient ratios (approximately 4:1)
- Familiarity with common ED equipment such as Welch Allyn and GE devices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams
