Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the emergency department
- Triage, assess, and prioritize patients quickly and accurately
- Perform advanced assessments and stabilize critically ill or injured patients
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and according to protocol
- Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary team members
- Document patient care promptly and thoroughly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and next steps
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Tennessee RN or compact RN eligibility preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
- Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
- Comfort with high-acuity patients, rapid decision-making, and fast-paced environments
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required for travel assignments
Education
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong triage and acute assessment skills
- Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and EKG interpretation
- Experience with airway management and basic life support interventions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Clear communication and teamwork skills with patients and clinical staff
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
