Shift Type: Tuesday-Thursday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; Friday, 9:45 AM - 6:15 PM; Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality pediatric acute care physical therapy interventions tailored to each child’s needs
- Perform thorough assessments and ongoing evaluations to guide safe, effective treatment plans
- Develop and teach practical home exercise programs that empower patients and families
- Recognize and respond promptly to signs of distress and escalate concerns per protocol
- Document interventions and progress clearly and accurately in the facility charting system
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Support post-operative patients and manage common orthopedic and neurologic rehab diagnoses
Qualifications
- Active CA PT License (required)
- AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications (required)
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric acute care physical therapy experience
- Comfortable using any standard electronic charting system (charting required)
- Ability to recognize signs of patient distress and act appropriately
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster required per facility guidelines (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Preferred: experience in an academic medical center
Knowledge & Skills
- Acute care assessment and monitoring
- Pediatric acute care expertise
- Orthopedics and post-operative care (total hip/knee, spine, shoulder)
- Neurologic rehabilitation (stroke, SCI, TBI, Parkinson’s, MS)
- Home exercise program design and patient/family education
- Body mechanics and safe mobility training
- Recognizing clinical deterioration and emergency response
- Proficient, accurate clinical documentation and interdisciplinary communication
