Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Take and document vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Provide meaningful social engagement and emotional support to residents
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and care plans
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver excellent resident-centered care
• Help keep the environment clean, safe, and comfortable for residents

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or completed upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and TB screening per facility policy
• Previous experience caring for older adults preferred but entry-level candidates with strong compassion and work ethic are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
• Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, observing and reporting changes
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills for working with seniors
• Ability to follow care plans and work within a multidisciplinary team
