Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care at the bedside
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
- Perform routine assessments and monitor vital signs with attention to detail
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care staff to create coordinated care plans
- Recognize and report changes in condition so residents get timely attention
- Support residents and families with education, empathy, and clear communication
- Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maryland (RN candidates with an active RN license are also welcome to apply)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing or Nursing program
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Comfortable with electronic charting and standard clinical documentation
- Professional, reliable, and resident-focused attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (for LPN) or accredited Nursing program (for RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation
- Basic wound care and restorative nursing skills
- Resident assessment and vital sign interpretation
- Infection prevention and control practices
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy shift
