Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting with professionalism and compassion
• Respond to emergent situations and manage acutely ill patients, including ventilator and hemodynamic support
• Float to Med-Surg units as needed to support staffing and continuity of care
• Accept and fulfill 24-hour call shifts as assigned, ensuring appropriate handoffs and continuity
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EMR, with preference toward Meditech 6.0
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning in a clear, empathetic way
• Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory
• Prior ICU nursing experience preferred and highly valued
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg units when requested
• Comfort with taking 24-hour call shifts as part of the assignment
• Meditech 6.0 EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in an ICU environment
• Proficiency with critical care monitoring, ventilators, IV infusions, and hemodynamic support
• Effective communication and teamwork with physicians, therapists, and support staff
• Accurate EMR documentation skills, ideally with Meditech 6.0
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex patients during high-acuity shifts
• Adaptability to float between ICU and Med-Surg while maintaining high standards of care
