Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
- Monitor patient progress, update goals, and document outcomes accurately and timely
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and discharge planning
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes
Qualifications
- Active state Physical Therapy license (must be licensed where you will practice)
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (DPT preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care preferred
- Availability to start on 2026-01-12 and commit through the assignment end date of 2026-04-13 (14-week contract)
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master's or Bachelor's in a related field considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and balance interventions
- Knowledge of mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and safe patient handling techniques
- Ability to perform thorough musculoskeletal and functional assessments
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Teamwork mindset and ability to collaborate across disciplines
