Shift Type: Scheduled rotation (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Evening/Rotating shift (regular on-call rotation)

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality pre-anesthesia assessments and prepare patients for procedures
- Deliver Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia care, monitoring recovery closely
- Monitor surgical and local-only patients in the OR and administer sedation as indicated
- Act as a strong patient advocate, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the perioperative experience
- Direct and supervise assigned personnel, promoting teamwork and best practices
- Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation for the Post-Anesthesia Unit
- Follow established standards of care, policies, and procedures to maintain excellent outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (state licensure required or eligible)
- Clinical experience in PACU, perioperative nursing, or post-anesthesia care
- Demonstrated ability to monitor surgical patients and manage sedation for procedures
- Experience in supervising or directing support personnel
- Willingness to participate in a regular on-call rotation for the Post-Anesthesia Unit
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia care Phase I and Phase II practices
- Skilled in pre-anesthesia assessment and perioperative patient monitoring
- Comfortable administering and monitoring sedation for procedures
- Excellent patient advocacy and communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise team members in a fast-paced perioperative environment
