Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following facility protocols
• Perform focused assessments and report changes in condition to the care team
• Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely clinical records
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, therapists and families to deliver person-centered care
• Support infection prevention measures and maintain a safe environment
• Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care for residents

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in West Virginia or eligibility to obtain state licensure promptly
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Comfortable administering medications and performing routine nursing procedures
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Professional, dependable, and ready to step into an urgent opening

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma/certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to assess patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Time management skills for busy night-shift environments
