Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
- Educate patients and families about care, medications, and follow-up
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (required)
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; approved practical nursing program for LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with care planning in a long-term care/skilled nursing setting
- Comfortable using electronic health records and basic computer skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization under a busy schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
