Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts (typically three 12-hour shifts per week), 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM; schedule includes rotating weekends and required on-call as scheduled
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert scrub technologist support in the operating room for total joints, multi-level spine fusions and Xi robotic cases
- Prepare and maintain sterile instrumentation and equipment prior to and during cases
- Anticipate surgeon needs and manage instruments efficiently to keep cases running smoothly
- Assist with setup and troubleshooting of robotic systems and specialty instrumentation
- Document case details accurately in the Epic EMR and communicate handoffs clearly
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety, dignity and informed care throughout the perioperative experience
- Collaborate with perioperative team members to maintain positive workflow and high quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- NBSTSA certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR scrub experience (preferably with total joints, neuro and robotic cases)
- Comfort and experience with Xi robotics, spine fusion and total joint procedures preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR documentation preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication and patient advocacy skills
Education
- Surgical Technology diploma or associate degree in surgical technology preferred; CST certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven sterile technique and OR safety practices
- Experience with robotic surgical platforms, especially Xi systems
- Skilled with total joint and multi-level spine fusion instrumentation
- Ability to use Epic EMR for case documentation and charting
- Strong situational awareness, instrument management and anticipation of surgical needs
- Excellent communication and ability to work well in a high-paced OR team
