Shift Type: Rotating nights including weekends, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night shift) — 12-hour rotation; schedule includes 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a high-acuity, 32+ bed emergency department
- Assess, triage, and manage patients and prioritize interventions in fast-paced situations
- Perform emergency procedures such as intubation support, lumbar punctures, wound repair and splinting as needed
- Collaborate closely with physicians, medics, and support staff to optimize patient flow and outcomes
- Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate changes in condition promptly
- Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient safety, throughput, and team performance
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (eligible to work in Texas)
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (Emergency experience highly preferred)
- TNCC and ENPC required by start date
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Comfortable performing emergency procedures (intubation exposure, LP support, wound repair/suture removal, splinting)
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active RN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing assessment and triage best practices
- Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system
- Proficiency in ACLS and BLS protocols
- Skills supporting invasive procedures and urgent interventions
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced ED with 4:1 patient ratios
- Critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and clear communication under pressure
