Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and rapidly assess emergency patients to prioritize care and improve outcomes
• Stabilize and manage critically ill or injured patients, initiating life-saving interventions when needed
• Perform ED procedures and support physicians during LPs, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repairs, suture removal and splinting
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses while maintaining strict safety and documentation standards
• Document all patient care in the Meditech EMR clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with RNs, PCTs, medics and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care
• Act as a proactive team member who anticipates unit needs and supports a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential — eligible to practice in the assignment state
• TNCC and ENPC certifications required by start date
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (ED/acute care experience preferred); candidates with more than 2 years will be prioritized
• Comfortable and competent with emergency procedures listed for the unit (LP, intubation, TNK, laceration repair, suture removal, splinting)
• Experience using Meditech or similar EMR is a plus
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment

Education

• Active, unrestricted RN license required (degree not explicitly specified in posting)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of emergency nursing principles, triage and critical care stabilization
• Skilled in emergency procedures and bedside assessment
• Proficient with Meditech EMR documentation and clinical workflows
• Ability to manage a 4:1 patient ratio in a busy ED setting
• Excellent situational awareness, prioritization and communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a patient-first approach
