Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts including weekends, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize patients quickly and confidently in a busy emergency environment
- Perform emergency procedures as needed, including intubations, lumbar punctures, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
- Provide thorough patient assessment and triage to prioritize care and improve outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and communicate effectively with the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, medics, and support staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions with empathy and clarity
- Maintain safety, infection control, and unit protocols while delivering high-quality nursing care
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas (must be active and in good standing)
- TNCC and ENPC required by start date
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience; candidates with greater than 2 years are preferred
- Comfortable performing emergency procedures listed and working in a high-acuity setting
- Experience with Meditech or comparable EMR is a plus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN, ADN, or BSN) and active RN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing and trauma nursing skills with quick clinical judgment
- Proficiency in airway management and intubation techniques
- Experience with lumbar puncture (LP) and TNK administration
- Skilled in wound management: laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
- Patient assessment, triage, and prioritization in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and accurate clinical documentation
- Teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to anticipate department needs
