Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, focusing on dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately
• Perform safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and staff
• Document care, observations, and any incidents promptly and thoroughly
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment through infection control and housekeeping assistance

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — state certification preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and performing basic clinical tasks
• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care or a similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of resident-centered care and geriatric needs
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe handling procedures
• Hands-on skill with safe resident transfers and mobility assistance
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident safety
